Rate Upload/Transmission Options

Overview

This document outlines the basic process for uploading pricing data to LoanCraft's PPE. LoanCraft commits to providing a customized process that fits the data formats and structures of the client. This is just a high-level description of how the basic process works.

Preparation Steps

Each automated upload customer is a customized setup which requires cooperation between our teams to assure proper formatting. We do not enforce a standard upload protocol; we will adapt to the data formats you have available. Templates can be provided if desired.

  • Client provides sample formats and descriptions to identify file structure and content.
  • Map uploaded files to pricing rules collaboratively.
  • Identify file name conventions or parameters to match inbound files.
  • Optional API endpoint to notify system of posting.
  • Facilitate “pended” ruleset uploads with effective dates.
  • MappingData records include:
    • FileName
    • SubfileId
    • Ruleset or range
    • MappingRulesIdentifier
    • EffectiveDateTime
    • CustomIdentifiers
    • CustomTranslationMethodId
  • Uploads restricted to whitelisted IP addresses.
Operational Steps
  • Inbound data is validated and matched to MappingData records.
  • System provides a response for each upload (Email, webhook/API, ConfirmValidFileReceipt).
  • Rulesets are mapped and loaded; internal quality control is updated.
  • Publishing options:
    • Manual: staging environment awaiting approval.
    • Automatic: rulesets immediately live.
  • Publishing confirmation via Email, webhook/API, or ConfirmPublish endpoint.
Quality Assurance
  • All data receipt and ruleset publishing is journaled.
  • Settings updates managed through PPE Manager ticketing system.
  • Audit data available via API; price testing endpoints allow automated testing.
Upload Methods
SFTP

LoanCraft provides a custom SFTP site for data uploads.

API Upload

Our API supports UploadFile, UploadRuleset, and UploadPricingData transactions:

  • UploadFile: emulates SFTP via API.
  • UploadRuleset: update specific rulesets (e.g., loan adjustments).
  • UploadPricingData: load individual pricing records as a JSON array.

Email
Our system scans inbox for your inbound emails and automatically ingests rates and rules.
  • Exception tickets are generated for changes in format of inbound documents, triggering analysis and possible follow-up on our side.
Manual Upload via Web UI

Pricing files can also be uploaded manually through LoanCraft's PPE Manager UI.
